Any Yankee fans disgusted with Girardi’s batting order today? What do you think of this one?
With Matsui & now Damon out of the lineup, I am sickened at Girardi’s batting order today:
Gardner
Jeter
Abreau
A-Rod
Giambi
Betemit
Cano
Cabrera
Molina
Here is what I would do:
Jeter
Cano
A-Rod
Giambi
Abreau
Betemit
Cabrera
Molina
Gardner
My reasoning:
#1. There is NO WAY in hell Gardner should be leading off. These are MUST win games for the Yankees and a rookie brought up from the minors hitting 0.67 (1 for 15) should not be leading off for crying out loud. I don’t care how fast he is – he does NOT get on base. This is no time to experiment.
#2 – The other changes I made are a shake up to what Girardi has been putting out for a lineup practically all year – and look how that’s turned out so far.
Any SERIOUS thoughts from Yankee fans or intelligent baseball fans in general on my lineup?

I agree, and I think Girardi conceded this series since Thursday. I do not like him at all I have to say. T here has been at least 6 games this year I have seen losses that could be a direct result of poor managing.
I am completely dumbfounded by a lot.
Your lineup is fine. I just wish he would s top changing the damn thing every night also.
Ramirez , Traber, Farnsworth, Rasner, Giese, Igawa, Ohlendorf, Albaladejo, and Hawkins all need to be traded or shot in public.

I am not a Yankee fan, In fact I am more of a hater (probably jealous of all the championships) but I feel like I can be objective and your manager does not seem to be working out. I have seen probably 10 games this year and in 6 or 7 he was out manged and the others was just a stall mate for the managers. I thought he would do good their but so far it looks like I am wrong.

Haha I was just thinking that this lineup sucks this morning.
I like yours but I have a couple of changes if you don't mind.
1-Bobby Abreu (I put him up at 1 because he has the speed and more important the OBP to bat lead off. The point of the number 1 hitter is to get on baseball)
2-Derek Jeter
3-Alex Rodriguez
4-Jason Giambi
5-Wilson Betemit (Don't want back to back lefties)
6-Robinson Cano
7-Melky Cabrera
8-Jose Molina
9-Brett Garner

Well, Gardner has no proof to lead off, and Jeter CAN get on base. I think that Cano should be farther back, because he is slumping. But besides that, I agree that the order sucks.
