Stimulus Check?

Has any one gotten their stimulus check yet? I have heard that people haven't been getting them and those who have didn't get the amount they were suppose to.

If you have gotten yours please yet me know, I'm suppose to get mine on the 11th of July. Also does any one know if the date scheduled are the dates you receive them or the date sent out? If it's the day sent out how long should it take to receive it?

I just got my letter from the IRS today. Don't you hate having the last two digits of your social security number being in the 90 range? Everybody else has their check and we are dead last. It's like getting picked last for softball in high school all over again.

The IRS is being rather clever in this regard. The notice indicates that the checks should be received no later than 7/11. Most people will get theirs by that date, however, if there is a delay the IRS has that covered. The IRS website is worded differently to indicate that your check will be mailed ON 7/11. This way the people who don't have their checks by 7/11 like the notice in the mail stated will go to the website and think, "Oh, they don't mail it until 7/11!" This buys them an extra week before you call and complain and, hopefully, you have your check by then.

The schedulked date is the date the check will be sent. You should receive it soon after that. I reeceived my payment by direct deposit nearly two months ago and I got what my notiffication letter said I would get.

If you received your letter you will get your check within 5 days of the date on it.

I have an accountant who handles my taxes and other business. I bet you that a tax preparer could give you the approximate date of your check transmittal. BTW: I was surprised to learn that the taxpayer will almost be required to file electronically circa 2010.
