Can I use Kilz Premium Latex to prime over an oil based surface?

Typically I would use an oil based primer to prime over an oil base, but I know Kilz Premium adheres to many different types of surfaces.

    You painting?

    Oil based paint is impervious to a water based product.

    Your Kilz Premium will stick,but could be subject to peeling.

    De-grease first.

    The kilz premium latex will not stick to an oil based finish... Use original Kilz which is a solvent base..then You can paint a latex finish over it after it dries properly...
