At what age can you give a baby tuna?

Hi all, I was just wondering how many months your child has to be before you can feed them canned tuna - I want to make my little one tuna mornay!

I know you can give them white fleshed fish from about 7-8 months, but I don't know if this includes tuna or not?

Thanks in advance for your answers!!

Update:

Excuse me mzz 'perfect' but i am very well educated when it comes to my children thank you very much, and I do no require or appreciate a lecture.

I have read many baby books and as I mentioned in my question, they all say when I can give white flesh fish, but not tuna.

I pride myself from getting information from a number of sources - it does not mean that I will do anything irresbonsible, just that I am getting answers from other mums - what's the difference to asking mums at a mums and babies group?

If you are going to be rude and insulting then don't answer my questions please.

Why don't you read baby books? Instead on yahoo answers. Educate yourself properly about feeding your child. For the record I hope you realize that your child digestive system is still developing. Feeding them foods to heavy before time have longterm affects years and years later in life. Have a heart for your child. Read and educate yourself about a child's diet.Your child will have alot better health in the long run. What you feed them now is important and its not about your guessing games. Diets or more than just loose weight. Its about health also.

Due to the high levels of mercury present in alot of fish, I would not suggest feeding fish to a baby.
