How do I get the scent of fox out of my garden and porch?

Our neighbour, down the road, insists on feeding them but then they use my garden and front porch - not nice! Any humane suggestions please. I love seeing the foxes just don't want to smell them when they aren't there.

Once they use a place for a toilet they will use it again and again, because they do it where they can smell themselves. Like cats it's a territorial thing.

You need to remove their smell completely. Disinfect. First try a more mild disinfectant. If not then Jeyes liquid does the trick but please read the instructions carefully, it is very strong stuff, and don't rinse off with a hosepipe if it flushes the stuff into some grass or flowerbeds because they will die. Bleach is good as well, but also be careful. You don't want to harm any animals, including your own pets if you have any, and that's really nice of you. But you do need to take some drastic measures.

Also visit a local garden centre or contact a local pet rescue type charity or the RSPCA. They will also be able to advise a safe procedure.

Good luck. But in essence it means removing any smell of the foxes toilet from the appropriate area until they establish a new place. Propbably the neighbour next to you, LOL
