Try this one - http://freecreditreport.sinfree.net/ - I monitor my credit score here during last 3 years. And also cleaned off some bad items from my credit report. You can apply for free initial plan and get your scores and reports for free.

You are entitled to something like 1 free report a year from Equifax, TRW, other "credit reporting" companies etc.
check their sites online and their FAQs will probably tell you how to order a free one.
Sometimes there is a charge for Xeroxing, but usually it is really free.
