My PC's motor revs and stops processing for 2-3 seconds. What causes this and how can I fix it?

My system is clean and defragged with no viruses, adware or other gremlins (at least none that can be detected by my Norton anti-everything). I have plenty of RAM and hard memory.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp! I'm fully backed up on an external hard drive but am worried about a possible crash.

Thanks.

Which motor? The power supply motor or the CPU motor? Are you sure the motor just stops? Many times the motor will rev depending on how many applications are running or how much 'crunching' there is. This is normal for many PCs. However, if this is a new occurrence, your power supply could be going out. If the PC reboots without notice, it's most likely your power supply. Power supplies are *easy* to replace. Just get the right model and follow instructions included with the supply. Or you could get some local store to replace the power supply.

If it's the CPU motor, this might also be a common occurrence depending on your computer. If not, replace the fan assembly ASAP.

Because that was once all they would discover. I learn someplace that they got here throughout those final 12 months round Sept. or Oct. They did not unlock them then due to the fact they did not suppose Obama had a threat in you already know what, to win this factor. (smile) So right here we're. God Bless America (significant smile)
