You can do it. If you have a fat ps2 you're going to need an online adapter which is fairly hard to come by these days. If you have the slimline ps2, you just need an ethernet cable. Once you are set, just connect the cable from your ps2 to your router. Then just play the online start up disc that came with your slim ps2 or the online adapter.

On the back of your PS2 there might be a Ethernet there are in the new ones (if not u need to buy one a gamestop or wherever) Plug the Ethernet cable in the pack of your PS2 and on the game you want to play click internet or connect

All you need to do is find a game that says Online Enable. Then plug your ethernet cables from your modem/router to your PS2. Go to the game options and choose online play.

The problem with PS2 online is that most of the servers have been taken down, so it's almost next to impossible to find a game that you can still play online. Your best shot at playing online is with the newer EA Sports games.

I don't have DSL but I hooked up my Ethernet cord from my PS2 to my wireless router, started up Nascar 08 and went to "Race Online" and set up my account from there. It'll probably be the same if you have a game that you can go online with.
