Transfusion of Platelets?

If the receiving person has O+ blood type, and the donor has B+, are they compatible??

    For a red blood cell transfusion, the blood you get must match or be compatible with your blood type. ►For platelet transfusions, matching blood types is less important. Even so, you will usually get a matching blood type, especially if you may need many transfusions.

    They're both positive which means that they are Rh compatible. But I don't think they're ABO compatible.A type O person means he has no antigen to either type A or B blood but has an antibody against both types. On the other hand, a type B person has an antibody for type A blood but also has a antigen for type B blood. If you transfuse, the antibody against B antigen present in type O blood will react with the antigen present on type B blood.

    i am not sure but i think the blood type has to be the same
