    Chlorine is your answer.

Salt pool use a chlorine generator to make chlorine for the pool. They are energy hogs and costly to maintain and operate and beware of getting the mindset that they are a magic bullet solution for all of your pool related problems. Salt pools operate with just as much chlorine in them as chlorine pools, 1-3ppm with 5 max.

Ozone is very interesting another energy hog because of the longer run times required. You should never use just ozone since it dissipates before it hits your pool it does little to purify your water when the pump shuts off. This is why they ask you to run your equipment longer. Delozone recommends using a chlorine feeder with their Eclipse ozone generators. These feeders are used to release a 1/2 dose of chlorine to the water, 0.5 to 1.5ppm and really perform the bulk of the purification in the pool since the chlorine lasts way longer than the ozone does.

Best? Chlorine, forget all the fancy stuff unless you want to believe it is the magic bullet!

    You're welcome!!

I don't know anything about ozoniation, but I've heard increasing things about using salt to purify a pool. I guess you still have to use a little bit of chlorine, but not nearly the amount if that's all you're using. It's much better for the environment and your body.
