Decorating Room Like Classroom?

I want to decorate my dorm room by having a classroom theme since me and my roommate wants to be teachers. Any Ideas to make it look like a class rooom? I want to be an english teacher. Thanks!

Update:

This was written in a hurry. I know my grammar was bad.

THere are lots of ideas for this theme...this is just off the top of my head. What about going to a store that sells classroom supplies and get those colorful borders that you see in classrooms? I think even stores like Office Max sell those. You could also decorate certain objects with those encouraging stickers that teachers always use. What about having several blackboards on the walls? In addtion to decoration, they could also be used for communicating. Maps are usually in classrooms. They are inexpensive and very colorful. You may also be able to find classroom supplies on Ebay. Just whatever you do, make sure it is easy to remove. I remember being in college and the year and semesters went so fast. It seems like once I decorated, it was time to move or go home for the summer. good luck.

I just also thought that if you want to be an English teacher...how about writing your favorite literary quotes on the blackboards? What about those magnetic poetry sets that they sell? I'm thinking that maps may not be appropriate if you are going to be an English teacher.

    Cool!!!

A large chalkboard/corkboard that can double for a calendar,

    reminder notes, photos, etc.

I'm not sure if you can or would want to but, stencil the alphabet or famous quotes on your wall or get a small metal locker cabinet for storage and you could get little alphabet/word magnets to attach.

    Hang posters or maps.

Stack some books on a table with a huge wooden apple on

    top.

Go to craft/office supply stores and look in the teacher department for things.

    Good Luck :)

You could purchase or make name plates like teachers have on their desks. You could also get an apple print comforter or something else that could tie into the theme without going overboard. You could paint your mini-fridge with chalkboard paint and make sure you have a bookshelf to store all of your books. Most towns have a teacher's supply store near them. You could check that out to get some more ideas.

If you want to be an English teacher, then you'd better work on your grammar:

"...my roommate and I want to be teachers."
