Computer Help??
Ok, so I hooked up my Mom's new/old monitor that she use to use, but got a different one that recently konked out.
This new one was manufactured in 2003, but the screen is blurry. It's done it before, but in some time it just happened to go back to normal one day. But it hasn't for a while now.
I was wondering do any of you know what the problem is with the monitor as to why the screen is blurry?? (And no, I don't need glasses -_-).
Thanks!!

It happened to me before with my old crt monitor. What i did though was to throw it out, and buy me a new lcd monitor. I think the monitor is dying when it starts to do that! So i bought my new monitor and after a couple of months it started getting a little blurry, so what i did was to buy a dvi cable and hook it up instead of the vga cable. After i did that it never went blurry again. I think this also happens when there is low voltage. Try buying some dvi cables if the monitor as a dvi input on the monitor and on the pc, or you could just buy a new lcd monitor. Good luck!!

If you went from lcd to crt or vice/versa, then you may need to turn off the windows cleartext option.
Additonally, if both were crts, then the electron gun on the back needs to be focused, which has to be done by you (hope you have life insurance) or a professional.
You may also be using a cheap cable, and I suggest buying a short, thick, shielded vga or dvi cable.
