What are the reasons for the improvement in India during the past 60 years after the independence ?

India's population has been a cause of worry but this huge population has also been an influential thing in India's development.

After Independence, we have slowly and steadily accepted the new technologies introduced by advanced nations and our people have been intelligent enough to use them effectively.

Indians are preferred World over for their intelligence and better understanding and also for the fact that they can be hired in a fairly less amount.

Both India and China are using the manpower effectively....China has been more efficient with this....but we too are growing quickly.

Indian Stock Market has grown tremendously because many Indian companies are making great names globally.

Thus, foreign investors are feeling safe to invest in Indian companies.

The likes of Ambanis, Tatas, Birlas , Narayan Murthy have been influential in India's growth.

Indian scientists are doing well in Space research as well.

People in India too are getting educated and thus, we are doing well these days. It wont be too far that India too will be called as an Advanced Country.

The main reason for India's improvement is

dedication of our people to improve our country.

You just wait and see, India is going to overtake America and u will feel "why did I leave India?"

I do not believe India is progressing. Some of my friends who have come back from a tour to Far East like Thailand etc are all praise for them. Their cities are cleaner and the people are quite decent guys. They again say that they also like India and Indians.
