Anyone had a similar induction problem?
I am 41 wks 1 day today and well ....quite frankly pissed off!
I was scheduled for induction originally at 7:00pm last then they left a message the day before changing it to 6:00pm....
(They ask that you call an hour ahead of time to ensure that they have space , since active labor is priority)
I called to ask about eating and drinking yesterday and they
then told me I was now scheduled for 7:30....SO, I called a hr
before as suggested and they told me that they no longer had
a time frame and that they would call me when a room was
available! They asked if I would be willing to go in at any time
during the night...I said sure!
Me and hubby didn't get much sleep last night, wondering if
and when they were going to call....at 6:00am thsi morning
my husband called L&D again and nothing had changed still
in waiting until God knows when!
Sorry if rambling...I am feeling so stressed , bummed & anxious ....clocks ticking slow and waiting for that phone to
ring :( !!
I am beginning to think it would be less stress
waiting for her to come...(Grrr)

I understand..... I was also incduced and boy was I pi$$ed off!!! They told me that i would hear from them by 6:30 am, and if I didnt I wouldnt hear anything until 8:30 (that meant they were full of actives and had to wait...fair enough).
6:45 am Monday March 31 - NO PHONE CALL, I was sitting outside with my hubby while he had a smoke (yeah I know), and I started bawling. I was so upset that they didnt call.... 6:50am PHONE RINGS... now at this point I was thinking so help me God if that is my mom or a telamarketer, I will kill them!! Nope, it was the hospital calling to tell me to come in. Again they confirmed that they were doing the Cervadil and then sending me hime (we live 2 mins from the hospital). Hubby was going to work since this is just an outpatient procedure. HOWEVER...he had "husbabnds instinct" and called in saying today's the day.
8:30 am - arrive at hospital with no bag, no pillows, NOTHING but my papers as this is an outpatient procedure. 9:15 am my doc shows up (she had been on holidays for 2 weeks). She tells me (and yes this is a direct quote...I almost lost it) "I dont do inductions on Monday's, can you come back in tomorrow?" WHAT...WHAT???? I didnt know what to do so I say yes. She left and I started crying...HARD. The nurses and my husband were trying to calm me down and someone finally went and brought Doc back in and told her to do it.
10:30 am Doctor does Cirvadel insertion...tells me I will most likely need the drip the next day and tells me what to watch for. trells me I must lay flat for 2 hours. Fine.
12:30 pm I sit up and ask the nurse for my clothes to go home. Nurse tells me that baby's heartrate is very "concerning" and that they have admitted me (umm...shouldnt you have told me that?!?!?) Baby's H/R didnt change ONCE while we were there and was average with what it usually was (doc agreed when I saw her later)
At this point things were hellish, they refused to let me leave even though we live so close, (and even though they sent us home one nigh BECAUSE we live so close), I had no clothes, no bag, no pillows, I didnt say goodbye to my dog (thought I'd brb). Long story short they did keep me, the Cirvadil did basically nothing and I did need the drip anyways, and later ended up with an emergency section. I was in the hospital 6 days total and the day before I went into active labor (b/c of drip) I got ZERO sleep because I was in a birthing bed and not my own....
Have a good laugh over my sob story.... I do now!!! And just remember that getting bumped or not doesnt matter...you'll have that baby soon (and on it's schedule too!!!)
Congrats...I hope you get the call soon, and have a quick and painless delivery!! (you can wish right??)

My induction was also a huge mess.
At 34 weeks I was released from the antepartum floor after 14 weeks of being there. 3 days later they found the placenta was failing due to low estrogen.
My OB scheduled my induction at the hospital as an emergency induction. I get to OB triage. Fill out all this paper work. I am sitting there from 11am to about 6pm. I keep calling my OBs cell, no answer. I call the office just to be told that he (my OB) is already AT the hospital and had been WAITING for me since about 4pm. I told the night coordinator that I had been down at OB triage the entire time, by the time my message came full circle it was almost 8pm. My doctor decided to check baby and induce me at exactly 35w. I had to wait 2 more days!
2 days later I show up at 6 am. Get all my paper work done. At 7 am a nurse comes over and tells me that they WILL not allow my doctor to induce me because I am preterm. I explain that it is an emergency induction. She then tells me that all emergency inductions have to be approved by the hospitals charge L&D doctor. The hospital calls my OB, about 30 mins later my OBs head nurse calls me. He tells me to come to his office.
By 9am I am at my doctors, furious! My placenta is failing. My baby is lacking movement and the hospital won't allow PTL.
My OB tells me that since the hospital is so unhelpful and this is really an emergency that he is going to call an ambulence. I need to fake natural PTL.
So I did. I got to the hospital, told them how bad I hurt. My OB rushed over acting frantic. They broke my water at noon and I delivered a healthy 35 week little boy at 6:93pm, without any pain medicine.
You may just want to fake labor and do a sneak induction.

Something similar happened to me. I was exactly 2 weeks late on a Friday. They told me to call around 5 pm. I did and they said they couldn't say when. Anyway, they called around 10 pm and we went in.

I understand how you feel totally, and I would feel the same what do the hospital think your having an elephant>
You should keep phoning on every hour until they get fed up, which they will do eventually, they are taking the piss. Good luck.

I am so sorry that is happening to you. It must be very frustrating. I would have been livid. I would contact my ob and have them walk me in there. You deserve to be treated better. Hang in there. I hope you are contacted soon.
