I have just been told that around 50% of women have hairs around their nipples. Is this really true?

I don't know the exact statistic, but hairs around the nipple are completely normal. Most women only have a couple of hairs, but some have more and some have none. If you have some don't worry about it. If you don't like them, you can pluck them out if you want.

i have some, but i usually get them about 3-5 days before my period... i just pluck them (usually like 1 or 2 on each nipple) and it's a great timer for me to know when to anticipate my period :)

it's not like women have hair all over like men, im sure there may be a few people on the planet but i doubt that the percentage you heard is about 50% having full hair, lol.

Being that humans tend to have hair all over (even if it's just peach fuzz) I wasn't really surprised the first time I saw some well developed hair around that area. Whatever the case may be, I have no way of verifying that statistic but I know it happens and it's not tremendously rare.

I don't know the percentage, but some do. Most who do pluck them, so unless it's you or a VERY close friend, you would never know.
