Someone stole my camera, what can I do?

Someone stole my camera six days ago. It is a really nice Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 which is still 349.99 at bestbuy.com. We got it on sale, and then I bought it from my boyfriend for 150 when he needed money for school real bad, and I loved the camera. I still have the box and all the books and receipts and papers that it came with. What can I do? I know nothing will happen if I call the cops. And if I call the bar I was at when I think someone took it from my purse that was on the ground, im sure they wont have it. duh. or these three people that came to the apartment I was at took it. they were druggies anyway and they still come around. How can I ask without accusing? I want it back so bad, it meant so much to me. I am now depressed.

So you had a camera in your purse at a bar and left it unattended. The bar is not liable for you leaving your purse unattended and possibly having it stolen, but your not even sure it happened there. You also may have had it stole at the apartment since there were 3 druggies you were hanging out with.

You want it back, but you've got to chalk this one up to a lesson learned. You really have no idea where it was lost or stolen, or even who is to blame. Next time keep a better eye on your possession and hang out with a better crowd. Your right, the police can't help you with this one since you can't even give them anything to go one besides the model and where if was purchased . . . they need to know where and who to get it back.

Just call the police, and tell them that you think they may have stolen it. They will handle the problem, and you don't have to worry about anything.

I can understand not wanting to get other people in trouble, but this is the best way to protect yourself and get your camera back. They broke the law by stealing your camera, you deserve to get it back, and they deserve to deal with the consequences of their actions!

Track down the people and have them charge with the crime and get the camera back that way or the court may make them pay for it and then you will be happy and laughing all the way to the bank.

All you can do is ask if anyone turned it in at the last place you were at or the place where you think you lost it.

You could report it stolen to your car insurance company and they will pay for it if it was stolen out of your car.

call the cops , report all of the people you think may have took it , thats what our tax dollars are for , finding cameras for people who hang out with a bunch of low lifes
