How can I tell the GB from a Playstation 3?
So I end up buying a PS3 from somebody at a cheap price. Only problem, I don't know how many GB it is. And the guy didn't provide me with the manuel and can't get in contact.
This was a very stupid moment but want to ask how can I find out how many GB does the Playstation 3 I have or what version it is.
Because if I got the 40 GB, then it was a bad choice.
So anyway to know how many GB the PS3 I own has?

In System menu check System Information. Over there you'll see which version you've got. Remember, the actual amount of memory slightly differs from announced.

Easiest way is to look at the trim (runs top to bottom and is the opening to the disk drive) if it is solid black it is a 20gb. if it is painted gray then it's a 40gb and if it's shiney silver (like a mirror) then its a 60 or 80 both are the best.
