home theater question?

i can only spend about 280 for a home theater system so i narrowed it down to these two:

Im not sure which one to get. sony's subwoofer has more power than the LG one but LG has more power in the speakers. so if anyone with experience with either one of these can tell me which one is better would be great.

Update:

this is for my bedroom by the way. its about 15x 17. so i don't need a huge system.

i think theyre both about the same, i wouldnt recommend getting the all in one package though, your getting cheap speakers a cheap amp and a cheap dvd player thrown into a box, also all that circuitry shoved into a small case with poor ventilation could pose problems, however if your looking for low priced system, both are perfect for you, just a thought, stay away from sony's audio department, its true they make high end tv's, their stereo systems are satisfactory at best,

if those are you only choices id go with the lg since sony makes pretty much unreliable crap. if you wanted to spend a little bit more money and want a decent home theater package check out some of the yamaha packages. i have a 6.1 surround sound package, i forget what i paid for it but it was relativly cheap for a great home theater, not at all like any home theater in a box deal
