Can you remove questions after they've been posted?
I answered a question that had several responses. When I went back to check on what other people said the question was gone.
Thanks for the answers. The question wasn't in violation but the asker was getting slammed for what we all felt was animal abuse. Guess we shamed her into removing it.

yes you can. after you've posted it, you can click on it (to see the question along with people's answers), and under the question there will be a tab you click on with the option to delete your question

Yes, the asker can remove their own question after they posted it.
But it may also have been removed because someone reported it for violation (whatever reason).

Yes.
As long as the question has not gone to voting, it can be removed by the asker.
A question can be removed at any time by Yahoo ... no matter whether the question is still open to answers, has gone to voting, or even has been resolved.

Yeah...it's under the edit tab under your question. But sometimes the site deletes questions and answers that are in violation of the guidelines.
