Linux for development, surfing, playing around etc
Windows Vista Ultimate when gaming in general
Windows XP Professional for general work stuff and Windows specific applications that do not work in Linux usin WINE. (Windows emulater for Linux that allows some window applications to run in a Linux kernal)
But OS of choice is Linux, most upgrades/updates do not require reboot, freedom to use thousand of applications, I can do must Office type work with it using Open Office, application and web development is better in Linux, but the only limitations for me is gaming and some apps that are very Windows specific and can not be emulated using WINE. But I do have a virtual machine in Linux that runs XP and Vista :-)... so I am cool

I use the XP because it is still A LOT more stable than vista and also a mac's advantages are mostly in it's design and artwork as well as some software. Microsoft Windows XP does not have as many bugs and software issues like Windows Vista does and at the same time is a more useful all around computer platform than the Mac OS X. As for the linux, I have never tried it before so I don't know. Windows XP edges out a victory against its successor and its competition. I only hope that Microsoft improves the software and security in the windows Vista. The moment they do, I'm upgrading to a vista

I use XP at work because all our app's work on it, Vista Ultimate at home because it has DirectX 10, good gaming support and media center, and Linux when I want to mess about or do some development, because it has no boundries other then technical limitations.
Linux is the best :)
