Error: Could not find the file "flash.ocx"?

In Windows XP, I had installed VLC Media Player, recently. After playing an item, it shows an error:

Could not find the file "flash.ocx". Please, what does it mesn ?

    I did this and it worked for me. Open up windows and go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\macromed\flash then go to the file flash9.ocx and paste it back in the same spot which will be named Copy of Flash9.ocx and then rename the Copy Flash.ocx and then the message will no longer appear.

    What do you mean after playing an item, is that items mean video or audio. If you can play audio it good, but if you want to play video and that problem occurred that mean you missing some flash driver file.

    You can either reinstall the VLC media player again or just click search and try to find that file inside your computer.
