The dog wandered into our front porch looking scared but he kept coming closer so i reached out to pet him. Then he was just terrified. His ears went down and he lowered himself & crawled slowly to me.
We saw that it must have been months since the last time he was given a bath, not to mention he had various injuries. I'm not sure how many dogs he owns, but it's about 5 -10. Whether the injuries were by the other dogs or the owner, it's disgusting. He looked hungry so we fed him some of our own dog food and he wolfed down about two cups.
We couldn't bring him in so he just stayed outside with us while I petted him until we had to go in. This morning I went out with our 2 dogs and as I was going in I saw the puppy staring at us outside our fence. I reached over to pet him and this time he was happy and wagging his tail! He looks just like one of our dogs so it breaks my heart.
Yeah, it's my neighbors dog. One of his dogs went missing and I think he blames us since the dogs often come near us. So if he suddenly saw one of his dogs with us, that might cause some problems.
My stepdaddddd won't allow the dog inside since it probably hasn't had any shots. I wish I could at least give it a bath but I'm worried about it's injuries.
Oh gee, wildraft1, what a great idea! Thank you for insulting while I'm trying to find some help for this dog. I am calling, I just wanted to know if I could submit pictures along with a report online.
Thank you everyone else.
Oh gosh bluebonnetgranny, you almost made me cry at the end. That's exactly how I feel when I see his face. I keep thinking he came to us could he sensed the love our dogs have and I wish I could give him that. He deserves it. Poor pup.

You need to report this locally. If you reported it on line the source could be thousands of miles away & could do nothing about it.
Who ever you report this to they may come get the dog & you will never know what happened to it. It could be euthanized, you don't know.
Can you take him in long enough to get his health under control & either keep him or find a home for him?
Poor little guy needs someone to help him. Don't just let him look at your life from the other side of a fence, he needs help.

Why on line? Try actually picking up the phone and call the Humane Society. It's not hard to do at all!! Don't let your own laziness keep this dog from getting help!!!
Added after comment:
"I'm going to call"??? What are you waiting for....another 20 answers or so? They can tell you if you can submit pics WHILE YOU ARE TALKING TO THEM!!! You're lucky an "insult" is all I was able to give you!

I am not quite sure there is one online unless you go to like the humane society or aspca. You can always call your local police department and they can deal with it.
google also works but make sure you do your reseach about the website before you do anything.

That is terrible. I am not sure about on line. I would call your local animal control. They can keep you anonymous. If you want to take in the puppy, you can tell them. You NEED to call them, that is awful. Good Luck!

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), for a cruelty investigation.
