Chicago and Lakers making a deal (rumor)?
I heard something about Kirk Hinrich and Andres Nocioni going to the lakers for Lamar Odom. What do you think about this trade??
Lakers weren't tough enough in the finals and Nocioni is one of the toughest players in the NBA. Kirk Hinrich had a bad year last year but he is still a good Point Guard and ok Lakers have Fisher and Farmar but Fisher is getting old and Farmar is still unexperienced and not a good PG. When we can't resign Vujacic, i would make this trade if I was the Lakers.
Your thoughts on it?
I completely agree with keeping Odom. He was great since Gasol was in LA and its not because he didn't play great in the finals that he should be traded. But can the Lakers start him at SF? I think him or Bynum should come off the bench! He could become the bench's go to guy and it could become a rotation of 3 players( Gasol Bynum and Odom at Center and PF especially now Turiaf is gone.)

Whatup up mpgruelz,
i don't think that's a good deal. The Lakers would have an overload at point guard- keep in mind they may bring Sun Yue over from China this year...
Also Nocioni is tough- but he's pretty much been a bench player his entire career- i think that would be a downgrade and the knock on Lamar is his offensive consistency- i don't know that Nocioni makes them better. i would consider a deal where we could get Luol Deng and somebody else for Odom... but don't think it's a good deal- and the Lakers shouldn't force a deal- they keep Lamar for one more year and his $14.7 million comes off the books next year. Artest wants to play with Lamar- so it's possible to re-sign Lamar for less- and make a run at Artest next offseason.

Dude i live breath and sleep Lakers summer changes even though most Lakers changes don't happen until the fall, it's been pretty active this season. I can tell coming from someone who checks the NBA sections of ESPN.com, FSN.com, Yahoo.com, as well as NBA.com i can tell you that rumor is bull.

I doubt it. If Fisher isnt going to be PG, its has to be Farmar. He is ready for the job and will do well. Bulls dont need Odom either.

Correction: Hinrich did have a bad year, but in no way, shape or form is he a good point guard. He is a turnover machine who likes to run around in circles while dribbling. If he is your point guard, you are going to have big problems.
