Has anyone tried the Magic Bait Catfish dough balls?

I just bought a packet of catfish dough(chicken liver and blood). Has anyone used this and caught any catfish?

When I was going after catfish I had good luck with it myself.Worked best in smaller bodies of water rather than big lakes. The chicken blood, cheese, and shad I believe it was are what I had the best luck on.If you want to see what they might hit on the most try putting out the separate flavors on a few different rods.Might help you eliminate some time on your catching ratio

hey, i love their baits. the chicken liver and blood is a good one to use but after you use upthat pack go and see if you can find shrimp and chicken blood. i love these baits. a clue to keep in your mind though is do not use a regular hook or off set worm hooks. go and get cha some trebble hooks. they make a trebble hook for dough baits they have little springs that hold the bait on but i haven't found those to be worth the money. just a regular trebble hook no.5 no 6 hooks will work just fine. before you pack it on the hook dip the bait in the water. pack the bait on the hook all the way around. get it good and firm on the hook or it might sling off during cast. the trebble hooks hold the bait on better but there is a little chance that it will get thrown. no where near the chance if you use a off set hook bu there is a chance. hope that helps you alittle. good luck and good fishin

I have used it multiple times and have not caught one catfish with it. I have actually found out that night crawlers and chub minnows are the catfish favorite bait. I usually use a crappie rig with #2 baitholder hooks.

My husband and I have tried those and couldn't even get the fish to nibble the hooks. Of course we've never caught anything but alligator gar, so it's likely we are doing something wrong....lol. Maybe just fishing in the wrong lake...lol.

Have not tried that but I know what will work. Guts from any other kind of fish. Yuck! I know, disgusting. My husband and I are avid deep-sea and fresh water fisher...uh,er...people. (Don't know correct term for a woman...fisher person) Try it.
