For anyone who had drive to Mass from NJ?

I am looking for a certain route that is really only known by word of mouth because Yahoo! Maps, Google Maps, and Map Quest know nothing about it. You basically take the Gadren State Parkway all the way out of NJ and you connect to the Tappan Zee bridge. You do not have to go through NYC at all. I think you hit 287 and then from there I am lost..... Does anyone know this route to Boston and could they help me find my way next weekend?

**PS I posted in another section, but go no responses..I thought I would give my buddies in Polls and Surveys a try!

I've never driven it (or even been in that area of the East coast) so the following is just from looking at a map.

It looks like it would be the most direct way.

    287(E/S) to 684E

    684E to 84E

    84E to 90E (Mass turnpike)

    90E to Boston
