what should I do with my PC?
I have a total memory 1006 MB. There are 2 hard drive. Drive C and D. I always got this pop up messages saying " i have to clean my drive coz theres not enough memory". I did transfer almost all my document from drive c to drive d. I look at the POST and check and restore the original software content i have in my laptop.I defragmented my pc and removed some files i dont used but still keep on saying i have to clean coz theres not enough memory. What should i do?
Help, help, help im going crazy soon, coz i cant transfer files nor upgrade my anti-virus. Waaaa.. anybody can help me?
all your answer is great guys but I done all that. I dont know what to do really. Maybe alternative is to buy a new laptop.

Try cleaning the hard drive. Go to My Computer, and right click on the C Drive. Click properties and click on the Clean Up button. Follow the instructions and go from there. It also has a tab to Add/Remove programs. Uninstall all programs that you are not using or do not recognize. Be careful about some Microsoft applications. If you did not install it, it probably came with the computer and you should not uninstall it.
Exercise similar caution with programs that may be coming from the Computer Manufacturer.
Go to Add/Remove Windows Components and uninstall (by making sure you uncheck them) that you don't think you need.

you could go to that link and download tune up 2008. it helps you optimize your pc, remove unwanted files, clean up disk space, etc.
it works great for 30 days as a free trial but thats all you need to tune and and clean your pc. it will help a lot if you need it right now. if you need a little bit of memory, you could try looking around through your files and start deleting unwanted stuff. stuff you dont really use or need. uninstall old programs or deleting your internet temporary files. if you go to internet options they have that. that could help make more memory for a while
buying another hard drive could be cheaper. but if you want a brand new laptop, go for it. try deleting restore points and backups. i gain 12 GBs one time just because restore points start adding up and taking up space. seriously unnecessary.

one option is u can try to increase your virtual memory. download lavasoft adaware and scan your computer for possible adware or trojans....that could be why u cant upgrade your antivirus......
