JUST bought Xbox 360, tried to play Halo 3, but the system just shut off and there was a red thing... HELP!?
Okay, so I literally JUST bought the Xbox 360 system an hour ago, and my brother was trying to play Halo 3... We didn't have the Internet connected. So anyways, we got it working, clicked on Halo 3, and everything was fine at the main menu. Then he clicked Custom Games, and the system just shut off, no error messages or anything. We were left with a red colour blurb in the corner of our TV, but it went away after we turned the TV off then on again....And now the system won't turn on at all. We tried resetting everything, and we have no idea what happened. Please help!!!!

try to see if anything got disconnected. if everythings connected right then your xbox is probably broken. if u got a used one thats probably why.

properly Microsoft has released many variations of the 360. What i think of the concern is, is that your BoyFriend bought a 360 middle version which has no hard drive. To play Halo 3 you may desire to have a not ordinary force to keep game editions and maps so i think of thats the concern. (If he does'nt has a HDD gadget on the suitable of the console than thats a center) If its a center see in case you are able to replace it decrease than guarantee. wish this helps

Well, it sounds like you could have the Red Rings of Death, although you haven't actually seen the rings, I suggest either getting it checked out or returning it while it's still on a warranty, if it is on a warranty.

you hit the top of the xbox and it works, it worked for me anyway!
