Will he fix the public school system so the children can also read, speak and write English?
Please see Tom S's answer. this is about American kids in our public schools and they need to be held to a better standard. I assume the teachers also need police protection. It's a joke, what 40% dropout rate and ones that go to college have to take courses to ehp them catch up.
Let's change "he' to whoever gets in the office. Fix something, before yo9u just throw money at it.
I couldn't agree more with the 'educated answers. IN my town the principle has about ten friends show up everyday to sub for teachers that don't show up and this area will go 90% for Obama. But it is a problem of both parties and that ain't no joke.
It is ironic that some areas have to use limited resources for illegals and it is also insane that the country and education has gone down hill since the 60-70s.
You got a valid point there andy for sure.
Tom you are right also and when will this happen, it's like illegal immigration and other "off" subjects, someone needs to run for president that will not be led by the media.

Depending on your are refering to, that would depend, Do we really want something other than what we have been taught for the last 200 years!!!!! U.S. History, english, spelling. math. science, and prayer in school, who took that out anyway!! that person, or persons, should be hung!!!! or made to leave the USA one nation under GOD!!!!! by the way good question!! for sure

No. We have become as a nation anti-education. With the advent of hip-hop or rap it's cool to make up nonsense and disguise it as art. It has helped dumb America down. Many home don't have a high school graduate. many homes don't have any books, magazines or newspapers that are regularly read. A child's number one role models is their parents, if a child sees that the parent doesn't value reading and speaking properly(talking white) then no teacher or system can really overcome this toxic atmosphere for learning.

Although that seems like a daunting task for teachers considering the large amount of students that can only speak Spanish. Our educational system is collapsing with the burden of illegal immigrants.

My experience is that the average Mexican American child reads and speaks English a bit better than the average white child.

The public education system is a failure due to the Teachers union.Get the Liberals out of the system and it will get better.

We need teachers with REAL degrees to fix our appalling Public schools, real degrees which people actually earn, not Affirmative Action "degrees".
