Lucid dreaming?

Hi, I have a few questions about lucid dreaming. This is a subject I'm extremely interested in and any insight would be extremely appreciated.

First of all, I just wanted to hit up on a few questions I had.

1) How often can you lucidly dream?

2) To what extent can you control your dreams when you become lucid, and is there any way to reach a higher level of lucid dreaming.

3) How often do YOU lucidly dream, and is this on purpose or on accident.

4) How long have you been lucidly dreaming, and how good are you at it, and what can you do in your dreams.

6) This is one I really want to know, what was your best lucid dream?

5) Are there any non-drug sleeping tips you have to share? Because I've not been really sleeping lately.

These are just a few of the questions I'm really interested in getting answerd, if you have anything else to share it would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

    1) For the great majority of people except maybe Budhist monks, sages, and mystics, very rarely. Women though, dream lucidly more than men do, because they use both sides of their brain's hemisphere, its one of the effects of estrogen.

    2) Usually I have absolutely no control at all; everything just plays like a movie, although, sometimes I even "sight jack" people, that is, I can not control them, but I see things through their eyes.

    3) Myself, like most people, very, very rarely, and, they just come of their own accord I have no control and I imagine its the same with most people.

    4) I have had them since I was a kid, but usually I only have 2 to 3 lucid dreams per year but when I was a child it was 2 to 3 times a month more likely. I do remember far greater frequency as a child.

    5) Get plenty of exercise and stretch all your joints, especially the spine. I stay up very late but I have no problems falling asleep, or staying there.

    6) I was in the shower with Scarlett Johansson. ;-) And it felt real as hell. No joke; the physical sensations, everything felt as if it was actually happening although, I was probably just "sightjacking" a dude who ressembled me appearance wise I mean, after all, a lot of Italians, Iraqi and Sephardic Jews look alike because we all carry middle eastern blood. And SJ DOES live in New York; it was probably just some guido turd she hooked up with and I was experiencing things through his eyes for some stupid reason. It was still the best dream though; she must have a very kind heart because she was indescribably delicious. I mean it; indescribably.

Regarding the whole lucid dreaming, look man, the harder you try the more they get away from you, the less you try and less you care and simply focus on just resting and falling asleep, the more likely heaven, or God, or the spirit world, or Buddha, or whatever you believe in will surprise you. Also, when a chick says "I had a dream that this and that..." LISTEN.

I know girls can get annoying with that, but generally chick's dreams are more lucid than guy's. If the frequency is maybe once or twice a year for guys, for girls it would be roughly 5 to 7 times per year that they dream lucidly, maybe even more.

Most psychologists scoff at the idea saying that people may have thousands of dreams in a single night, and that any "predicted" event is just a coincidence. The problem with that is, how can the brain exactly describe a place it has never seen?

There is the million dollar question, and one of the glaring problems that Nostradamus skeptics can never adequately answer without making outright ad-hominem attacks calling him a liar, or dodging it outright. How on earth could Nostradamus, who never ventured far beyond France, farthest he ever went was to Italy, describe places miles across the ocean?

Places that did not even exist, people not even born, things hid mind had never seen how on earth could he describe them?

Statistically speaking, it is impossible, and from a neural biology point of view, the brain can only be creative with data that has already been inputed into it. For instance; Tolkien's lord of the rings is an idealized vision of Britain. The Britain he wishes Britain would have become.

Making up a completely new place however, is impossible, even so-called "original" ideas are often based off of something, but as far as creating brand new data, from absolutely nothing, the brain can't do that.

For example how many dictators named "Franco" existed in Nostradamu's day?

First of all, second, who the hell in Nostradamus' time would have believed that some egotistical guido born in Corsica would become dictator of France? Napoleon you know, was Italian. Hell in New York and Boston's little Italy neighborhoods you will probably meet a lot of "Napoleons." God if I had a dime for every Italian american who said, when they saw a picture of Napoleon "oh my god! He looks like my uncle!" Or cousin, or father, or brother....

Case in point man, I'm open minded with what you're saying, but, from my experience its better not to force it, and if you do dream a dream, act as if you saw, heard, and felt nothing. Often times, those dreams DO come true, if they involve you that is.

Most lucid dreams I have had though often involve me seeing things from someone else's eyes, a minority involving me.

I dreamt, one night, that Obama was going to be elected president in a landslide.

Or course you don't need mystical spirit world crap to tell you that; since voting does not seem that essential to the process anymore, and people are groomed to be president not really elected, considering who his opponents were (an old fart, and an unpopular white feminist), come on man, Obama was practically set up to be president so dream or no you know he will be elected, even as racist as Americans are.

There is a possibility of a black president, because the president is not as powerful a position as it used to be. Whereas prior to the watergate scandal the office was had a virtually elected monarch, and congress and the supreme court rarely spoke against the president, after the scandal, both those government bodies started using the powers granted them more to check the power of the president.

In other words you could have an illiterate hillbilly from Alabamy whose parents were brother and sister and who never wipes when he goes to the bathroom be president, and it isn't going to affect crap.

Therefore, racist as americans are, and since every american involved in the election process knows this well, there is a likelihood that even racist whites will vote for Obama, simply because he is a better choice than an old guy, and an unpopular feminist.

In other words..... use your logic first before you believe a dream, and if all logic is exhausted, THEN believe it.

So why would I see the whole Scarlett Johansson thing as "denial," and me repeatedly denying?

    1) I don't like blondes.

    2) I don't like white JEWISH blondes, I like my Jewish women dark skinned, and with good hearts.

    3) She's from New York, meaning, its very unsafe to get in there.

    4) She's a hollywood actress, making it even more unsafe.

So absolutely that dream was disturbing; I would NEVER go to bed with someone who has had multiple partners, whose list of partners goes around the block probably!

I mean New York + Hollywood actress = high likelihood statistically speaking, of a great many hairy asses that have already been there before me.

And besides does that lucid dream even make logic sense to you? I mean, I'm just some schmuck on the net.

See what I mean when I say "use logic first?"

I know I was a bit graphic to make my point, but I find that my point gets across the clearest, when I gross people out, or am graphic as hell.

good luck and I hope all of this helps.

Wow, you have a lot of questions. I didn't read the whole thing, but I usually lucid dream when I sleep too much, for whatever reason. When I lucid dream, I can't control everything but I can control what I say and what I do. I probably lucid dream for about a half hour before I wake up or drift off to sleep (with no lucid dreams)

Source(s): I sleep all day, every day.

exciting way of describing it. If we flow far faraway from the annoying ordinary and the crowds of opinions, viewing all of it from the area, particular, we would see it as a lucid dream interior yet another lucid dream. after all, in a worldwide the place the guidelines of logic are questionable, how do all of us know if what we see, touch or pay attention is incredibly there? How will we outline logic or actuality? in the absence of those 2 bases of the worldwide, we could thoroughly assume that existence is in simple terms a count of theory. people are creatures that stay in accordance to the guidelines of their own instincts of theory. we are able to keeping lucidity and means of comprehension, hence we are nevertheless conscious - subsequently the LUCID dream. however the bounds of actuality are questionable - subsequently the dream. If each action is in accordance with own instincts and private concerns of theory, then one act after the different means one lucid dream interior yet another lucid dream. after all, we are all targets interior the dream of a dreamer who's been asleep because of the fact the commencing up of time. we are each of the lucid products of a dreamer who sleeps on the gate of time. while he/she obtains dream lucidity, his/her expertise would be awoken, and while looking interior his/her own targets, we are going to be unavoidably confronted with our own mirrored image. And we are going to awaken. The dream will end and we are going to proceed to be in the organic type of lucidity. :)
