Best war movie ever?

Question

Dont get me wrong there is a lot. Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, We Were Brothers but my opinion is Glory 1989. Not only did it have a ALL STAR cast (Denzel Washington, Matthew Broderick, Morgan Freeman, Andre Braugher and Cary Elwes) look where these all star actors are now wow. It displayed the pain and struggle that the war dished out. Give me your thoughts

There are plenty of great war movies. Im tied between Full metal jacket and Platoon. I liked Glory but I didn't like how they displayed some of the black soldiers as thiefs and low lifes when they burned that town. Broderick seemed to young to play the captain and didn't impress me with his performance.

I really like Gallipoli. Johnny Got His Gun was also very distrubing (though completely ficticious). Both were based on WW1.

edit: Saving Private Ryan was an amazing picture, because the American government really would issue those kind of orders during WW2. I didn't even know that until that picture was released.
