Healthy Fast Food Restaurants?

Well let's face it folks America is getting big, and I wanted to do something about it. We owe it all to the fast food restaurants like Wendy's Mcdonalds, and Burger King, and their delicious fries yummm. Well anyway my mom and I were talking, and we came up with an idea to make a healthy fast food place, or restaurant.I just wanted to hear your opnions on it.!

Update:

I don't think we can pull this off, so can we sell this plan to someone rich?

Well you have got some major facts wrong. You do not have those fast food places to blame. You are fat because you CHOSE to eat there and you CHOSE to not work out and exercise. So for you to say that it's the fast food places that made you fat that's just wrong. So your telling me that Fast Food places like McDonalds forced upon you there food for you to eat? I HIGHLY doubt that. If you don't want to "get big" then tell yourself "I don't want to get fat so I'm going to make myself a nice healthy dinner at HOME". Then I'm going to go to the gym and EXERCISE. Please just don't ever say that you owe being fat to the Fast Food restaurants.

McDonalds is not to blame, YOU are.

Anyways, I think it's a good idea. IF... people actually had the will-power to not go to those Fast Food Places.

I've been thinking about this very same idea for a long time. A lot of people are still stuck in th e1970s mindset that people actuallyt WANT to eat terrible food. The fact is, very few do. They eat it because it's convenient.

This is one of those ideas that I think 10,000 people have already thought of. I was going to name my restaurant Munchies and have Muchie the Marmot singing "If you want something yummy, that doesn't swell your tummy, don't be a dummy, come get your lunch at Munchies!" And the menu would have a lot of small rice and pasta-based dishes, with a dollar menu and a drive-through. I think it is something that needs to happen, and I think people would really go for it.

The quickest way for it to take hold would be through an existing fast food company. If someone like McDonalds decided to branch out and give this a shot, they could make it go national very quickly. Otherwise, you'd have to go the slow way and develop a business plan, save up some venture capital, and convince a bank to underwrite you (lots of luck making that happen in a bad economy!) You'd need to partner with experienced busines-owners... there's so much involved. And certainly the idea of healthy fast-food is one millions have dreamt of, but no one has hit the mark yet. BK, Wendy's and McDonalds would have u think that if u wann aeat healthy u need to eat giant bowls of iceberg lettuce like a rabbit. All you need to do is sell SMALL PORTIONS of reasonable dishes like rice pilaf, orange sessame chicken, beef with noodles, etc. Things you'd expect to see in a microwave dinner... except served hot out a drive-thru window. That's all.

The idea is brilliant, and given the HUGE HUGE HUGE demand that's out there (ignore anyone who says it's not), there's no reason no one is making a fortune off this. Eating grinders at Subway gets old quick and ur consuming mass carbs... and places like Fresh City and Baja are serving giant portions. The key is decent ingredients in small portions for small prices, with pretty packaging, clever marketing (Who's Munchie? posters with a big marmot face), and convenient service. All the market and preference data showing that people WANT greasy food is out of date... they simply don't. People over the age of 24 anyways. You don't need to ask around for long to figure that out.

If you can make it happen, best of luck to you!@

Subway and Chick-Fil-A If you get the chargrilled chicken sandwich at CFA with the fruit cup then you are eating less than 400 calories. It's really good too and actually even if you still want french fries but you get the chargrilled chicken then you're still not getting all that bad.

you should do like a vegetarian fast food place or something.

    :)

    or salad.

just anything that tastes good, and is still healthy.

you could sell fresh fruit too.

    i'd go there.

the problem is coming up with a menu that the normal person would be interested in. You would have to make enough sales to make a profit and honestly, how many people do you think will leave their favorite hamburger/fries joint over healthy veggies or low carb. meals?

    Good luck though

Subway can be healthy, depending on what's on the sandwich. I eat the Veggie Delight - it's really good.

Well if U want to have a healthy restaraunt U should have menu items like pito bread, flatbread, salads, sub sandwiches, noodles, pasta, and tea.

that would be great! many people would eat there if you made low fat favorites! and vegan/vegetarian menus! good idea!

Also, that is like Subway, they are healthy for the most part
