Where is the Oil Filter located on the 2006 Ford Focus ZX4?

the reason why i'm asking is because when it took it to jiffy lube, they couldn't find it?

    In front of the engine oil pan. It is very easy to access on this particular model. Replacement oil filter part number from Ford is FL-910. Hope this helps.

    If it's stripped, it is possible it will leak, and/or fall out. If that happens while going down the road at 70, the chances of blowing up the engine before you notice the red idiot light telling you the oil pressure has dropped are high. So go see your mechanic, and have the stripped one removed, then have a self tapping over sized one put in. Problem solved. But yes, it is possible to change motor oil without removing the drain plug. You can get a pump with a hose that goes into the dip stick hole and removes the old oil that way. Or, (not recommended), remove the filter, place a catch pan under the filter and run the engine just long enough to dump all the oil out.
