How to reduce foot pain when exercising?

When I am doing my workouts, the arches of my feet get very sore. I am wearing the right shoes. Should I go buy some arch supports? Is there anything else I can do to alleviate the discomfort during my workouts? Thanks!

Update:

I don't run. I mean like a cardio workout.

i have no arch at all wat so ever and i have orthodicts rite now...but if these dont work i will have to get a surgey where they put screws in my feet....so try to avoid going to the foot doc for as long as you can...but ummmmmmm......if u start running and they hurt stop...and rest ....get different shoes....and if they still hurt...go home and put ice on them for like 10 minutes...then switch to heat ( heating pads) for 10 minutes...and just keep altenating...thats what my foot doctor told me to do !! And if this doesnt work idk wat will

If your feet are getting sore while you're running, your shoes are most likely not fitting you properly. My feet used to get really sore, but once I started really tightening my shoes, they felt a lot better. It could also be your posture while running. If your feet are pointing out to the sides or if you are running to flat footed, then your feet will definitely be sore.
