You know of course that I would pick Mayalei!

Not so sure about the boy names. I think that Mayalei & Merrick sound good together.

I like 2 and 3. But it really doesn't matter what I like. Choose distinctive names that will tell the reader something about these people immediately. For example, I think of Mayalei, Leilani and Adrianna all as rather pretty, meek girls who are perhaps a bit dumb.

To me a Merrick would be an interesting male, while Derek would probably be more traditional and stronger.

Avoid giving your characters names just because they are pretty, or names that are too much alike. You need a Horace or Amanda in here.

The first two names I skipped because they were hard to pronounce. 3 reminds me of 4, but I like 4, so that's ok. Adrianna is also a very nice name.

    1, 2 and 3.

Always nice to have other types of names in fantasy characters. For instance : Lord of the rings. Bilbo, Gandalf, Aragorn etc.

Makes the fantasy completely your own. Nice for originality.

    Have fun :)

i like them all .. but the name has to sound right and go with the personality and description of the character in question.

also depending on the age group for whom your writing for i would suggest unique names that may be a little bit easier to pronouce. try saying the names out loud or acting out some conversations using different names for different characters to see what sounds right. hope it helped.

    good luck :)

I really like Merrick and Leilani. I think those are really good names for a fantasy book.
