taking it back to the front desk is not always the best bet cause they could then steal it. i would look inside and see if there was a number for the person to call so they can come get it then i would take it to the desk if nothing else. and by returning it not only is it the right thing and that person might need their money badly say for family, bills, etc but because they got it back they might give something fot it being returned

I would take it to the front dest. I found a wallet once and it was staked with money tons of 100 and 20 kids you not and tons of credit cards but it was never mine and I returned it with out taking anything. I believe strongly in Karma so I dont really do things that I wouldnt want to be done to me. I feel if someone found my stuff I would want it returned unfortunatley we have alot of greedy people in the world that are to lazy to make their own money and tend to keep things that are not theirs. Its better to do the right thing and return what is not yours.

Without hesitation, I would have taken it immediately to the front desk. I would not wait or even have it in my possession. That is how I operate. I would want someone to return it if it were mine. It does not belong to me so I need to give it to authorities who can put it into the owner's hands.

I would hand it in - if I just found the money on the street then maybe I would think differently but someone in the hotel has lost it and it could be their only means of paying for the hotel :-)

I went to the grocery store one day and found a bank card on the floor. I took it to Customer Service and they said a guy called about it, freaking out over the phone.

I would take it to the front desk in the morning...i would end up feeling guilty if i didn't...i have a conscious.

As much as I would want to keep it. Honestly I wouldn't: / Just because the guilt will eat you alive later
