My ipod wont automatically update!?

my usb cord isnt broken, because the ipods charging?

and i recently changed a couple of my settings, but i dont know how i did it!?

and usually as soon as I plug my ipod in, a thing saying Steph's Ipod apears, but this time it isnt?

how do i fix thiss?

    Try resetting your ipod (holding down the menu and circle button) then plugging it in. Also maybe restart your computer.

    unistall itiunes and then reistall itunes
