Yahoo "report abuse" policy has to be cancelled?
I had two of my questions deleted.
Yeah one was a bit disgusting because i studied about cannibalism in historic times and i asked "which part of a child would taste best roasted, and who would taste better boy or girl?" I know it is disgusting but I was just curious, since things like this, unfortunately, did occur in historic times. I did get some answers and then I saw that the question got deleted
Why? i it not a violation of freedom of speech? I read through the policy list and do not feel i violated any of them, contacted yahoo and they did not respond.
Why do we not just start a movement on yahoo answers that will take away this abuse policy and allow people to ask what they want? But how to start?
After all, this hole country was founded on freedom of speech, it is our very first amendment!!
Many hear do not believe in freedom of speech, unless it is there own!

You have to remember that you WAIVED your First Amendment rights when you JOINED the site - by agreeing to Yahoo's TERMS OF SERVICE. THEY have the right to police their site as they see fit.
And one of the rights they have is to delete ANYTHING they - or the COMMUNITY - sees as offensive. They can even delete your ENTIRE account on a whim - as you are using THEIR hardware to access the site (not to mention storing all your email messages - for FREE)!!
In addition, the First Amendment does NOT apply to ONLINE content - as users from other countries DO use the site...
I'm writing this from Canada as we speak ;);););)

Read the First Amendment carefully. You will see that it does NOT apply in this type of a situation. Yahoo Answers is a privately owned site, and as such, they have the right to make and enforce the rules of the site. YOU agreed to abide by those rules when you signed up here, so you need to held responsible for your actions in doing that.

Unfortunately, people on here can be offensive, so that is why there needs to be an abuse policy. Unfortunately, it must be broad enough to capture all forms of violations such that some of the legitimate ones get caught in that web. I think you will agree that it is better to have a minority of legitimate questions deleted than to have trolls have free reign on YA.
Do you think this question should be deleted? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Apmbw...
If so, then you would agree there needs to be some form of guidelines.

oh geez. bunch of tripe, eh? well, don't get too worked up over it. this site really isn't worth it. if you feel that your freedom is being violated, take it to the streets where the invisible people of the internet can see it.
yahoo doesn't deserve the time that you're about to put into it.
i just use this sight during my tea break to pass the time.
