Is there such thing as ghosts?

Ghosts exist but normally do not bother people, and ghost can take form of animals too, however, interesting thing about ghosts is that they are afraid of people and the haunting ghosts are more in fiction..... some ghosts may show up if you are at lonely places alone and afraid as they can sense fear from miles but still do not dare teasing people if one doesn't freak out and when going to lonely places like inhabited house, cemeteries, should never be alone and talk normal stuff .......the sounds freak the ghosts away, but ironically, most people tend to talk fearful things among themselves and which develops fear generally among group and if at graveyard or other place where there can be ghosts who are disturbed by people sense fear and can evoke it further by some means and drive you away from that place....... One should not have fear of ghosts at first place and you will never meet one......... avoid going to places where there is a chance after sunset because you dont have ghosts in sunlight.... I hope I was of some help ....thanx and don't worry ghost dont do physical damages only evoke fear if you are afraid......

We'll it's really what you think ghost are not evel if you think about their more afraid of you as you are afraid of them some people call the ghosts some people call them spirits it's really up to you what you think some people think that there passed ones are looking down and when you hear something it's a sign that they're there so it's really up to you x

of course there are ghosts. one day you too will see one. our energy as people or as animals never leaves or comes "undone" we just enter the spirit world. some spirits die suddeny or unhappily so I don't think they feel they want to leave. of course there are ghosts why all the literature all around the world if there were not ghosts?

Since it is not scientifically proven we can assume that there are 3 groups: Those that don't believe in Ghost, Those that does, and those who are mentally ill...

I personally believe in Ghost because I believe in God/Spirit. Everyone from my mom side of the family had seen at least a ghost. Heck, my aunt used to be a shaman! Unless you live in a small isolated town in the middle of a forest full of dead corpses who can't seem to cross over, then you shouldn't worry about seeing a ghost.

Animal Ghosts? If you believe in the supernatural/paranormal...Then you would believe in souls. Since every living thing on earth contain a "soul", we can assume that,Yes!, there are animal ghosts! Even the Native Americans believe in animal spirits. Hello? Wolves!

Well I can't say no, however I'm positively sure, and heres why. Ghosts are known as paranornal spirits of the dead who've lost their way. Now consider that this is not scientific. Honestly if the mythical ghost was replaced by the mythical transparent unicorns, people would be saying they saw magical transparent unicorns. You see most people are mistaken when seeing ghosts and spirits and such. People who hunt ghosts make tons of money off the public, its a scam and people follow its ideals ignorantly, and most people who do have biblical beliefs. Which is why I think they're delusional. Sure a good scare is good once in a while. But this is reality, not a fairytale.

In this plane of reality there are no ghosts, demons, or any other paranormal things. When a person claims they have a spirit that makes noise and moves things or a guardian angel protecting them, he or she is trying rationalize an occurrence that is unexplainable to he or she. As humans we like to feel like we are in control and the unknown scares us, so we develop concepts like the afterlife and heaven to comfort us because we set them up rules of who goes where and we can have control of it.

Perceptions are only as real as their consequences. In short, if you think it was a ghost or spirit and you treat it as such then it is real. However, it would be best for everyone to moved away from this thinking as truth is universal and should not change with every person like it can simply be manufactured, but that is another social issue.

And just to clarify one of the better answers to your question at another individual attacked is. The reason we assume something is not at a given state first is because of the consequences of a false positive. It is the same reason we are innocent until proven guilty; so innocent people are not falsely imprisoned. Or a drug is unsafe to test on people until it is proven to be safe. The use of the word "assume" is because when a researcher conducts an experiment they inherently believe X will impact Y, but they need to disprove the that X does not impact Y. They assume there is no impact to prevent problems as mentioned above. Besides it said we should assume ghost do not exist, not assume whatever we want about the issue.

Yes most people don't believe in ghosts only spirits, a ghost is a roaming scared spirit who didn't go anywhere they take shapes of animals people.etc. ghosts cant do harm usually the ones we call "entities " we think of spirits ghost and entinties as the same thing but no no no they are completely different a spirit is In your body now when you die it goes to heaven or hell now a ghost is something that roams in the place that either they died a family member died or just a cemetery. Now a entity is evil it's mad about something and wants to take it out on the first person it sees entities have awful pasts when they were alive. But anyways, Yes they're real and different than entities and spirits like I said they can take shapes of people animals or a black shadow. Sometimes you can't tell the difference between an entity and a ghost so If you see a black shadow be very careful.

People are different, they believe different things, no one ACTUALLY knows if their is dead dogs roaming around the spirit realms or even ghosts, you can't exactly prove it, even tho some people have EVP'S and caught them on camera, I personally believe that animals do the same as we do, become something more not just rot in the ground or stuck in a ashes box xD, But each to their own, don't ask other people, as yourself what YOU believe, even if you sit there thinking (I HAVE NO IDEA OMG) Keep thinking as yourself questions, you'll get it :) Promise

I never believed in ghosts until I experienced it myself. The first time was when I was trying to sleep and what sounded like an old man was breathing heavily into my ear, not even an inch away. It only stopped when I turned on my cellphone screen or the tv for light. And when I was at my dads trying to sleep, opened my eyes and saw an old man staring at me behind the 9ft high window. I think my great grandpa Leo haunts me. But to your answer, yes they are real. If you haven't experienced it yet, you most likely will in the future.

First of all they don't appreciate being called ghosts. They are spirits and they do exists. Some people can see them and communicate with them like I can. As well demons. Nobody wants to believe it but it's true.
