Not lame as long as you use songs that she and for that matter no one else has heard of. It makes for from the heart if you use indie, non main stream, to tell your story. The only thing lame about it is if she doesn't listen

I had been lisening to songs plenty, my thought is appear at nation/rock songs. What I propose the band Carbon Leafs "Indian Summer" CD. Or check out the band Rascal Flatts, they by and large have love songs. (the music "Blessed the Broken Road" is a truly well love music)
