Word 2007 SpellCheck Problem - PLEASE HELP!?
I am having an issue with the Word 2007 spell check. When Word finds a Spellcheck Error I make my change to it. However, when I close word and re-open the document Word automatically wants me to correct the word again. Eg. I type in a word like "jiojkl". I tell Word to ignore it, but when I re-open the document, "jiojkl" has a squiggly line underneath it again. I have disabled some Norton features and tried a few fixes on the internet. Please help me!
Oh the word I gave was just an example.
I don't think I explained the problem right.
If I type in a whole lot of stuff, like place names and stuff and when SpellCheck asks me about it I tell it to Ignore All or something like that, whatever change needs to take place.
When I save the document and re-open it later, the same errors re-appear. Like if I wrote a word on the first page, when I re-open the document that word on the first page still has the squiggly line under it.
By the way Norseman, thanks for your advice, but I'm not a young lady!

Sounds like you have a problem there young lady. I would skip the first spell check altogether and spell check one time when you reopen the document.

Ok you need to alter how you use spell check
run your spell check, and when you finished the doc click Tools >spelling and grammer>click options >tick the box that says hide spelling errors
another way to do this is to write click the little open book icon at the bottom of the screen, in the middle of the status bar.
this is written for word 2003, for 2007 type in hide spelling in the help search

i exploit greater useful spelling and grammar with out errors whilst hand writing than whilst i'm typing. My difficulty is dyslexic hands. On a keyboard, i exploit all the astonishing letters whilst typing, yet no longer unavoidably interior the astonishing order. Thank the lord for spell checkers.

This will continue to happen until you add "jiojkl" into the word list. It happens in earlier versions, too. Very irritating, but at least you won't be able to forget you did something unusual.

it only ignores the word once. add the word to the dictionary and you wont have to worry about it again.
