If you have a bad credit history still the loan market place is full of lenders who are ever willing to offer you a fresh loan. But you should be meeting some conditions laid down by the lenders. Loans for bad credit people are in fact easier to get then they were ever before, thanks mainly to cut-throat competition amongst the lenders. Lenders are giving loans to the bad credit people who have late payments, payment defaults, arrears, county court judgments or any credit problems. These loans are available for any purpose like home improvements, purchasing a new or used car of your choice, for wedding and holiday tour, debt consolidation or for paying child’s tuition fees.

Every lender in approving loans surely likes to see if the bad credit borrower has sufficient capacity to repay the loan in timely manner. If the borrower earns well, has regular bank balance, has been an employee for some years and has a convincing loan repayment plan in place, then the lenders do not usually hesitate much. So ensure that you have adequate repaying capacity before applying for a loan. Also, you should first check your credit report for any errors. If your credit score is too low then you would be charged a very high rate of interest. So it is advisable to first pay off some easy debts to improved credit score and then you should apply for loan at better rates.

Today the lenders have started offering nearly all varieties of loans for people with poor credit record. They are also introducing many new loan products meant for this group. Now people with poor credit can get the same choices as those with the good or mediocre credit. Today you can use bad credit personal loans for many purposes like car purchase, vacation or even debt consolidation.

But if you have some assets to offer as collateral, your chances brighten. The primary reason why people with poor credit history do not get loans is because the lenders are scared that the borrowers will default again. But if you can offer collateral, your lender is secure in the knowledge that his money is in safe hands. You have to try and meet the repayment schedule, failing which you lose the asset.

Sorry you hit a rough patch in life....things will get better.

It depends on what's wrong with your credit. If you have't alredy done so...order your reports from the 3 bureaus and dispute anything that is incorrect, needs amending or is old (>7 yrs). The bureau has 30 days in which to respond or they have to delete it.

You didn't mention why your credit is bad...did you declare bankruptcy or have judgements? Either way if you really are in a jam you need to carefully consider if you can take on anymore debt first. If you have good income then save more and borrow less. If you have assets (house, car, land, etc....) then you can use that as collateral.

The traditional credit situation is quite bad these days; however, I know of a website called www.prosper.com that matches people wanting to lend money to people who need to borrow it. The site rates your credit risk based on your Fico score and based on this, people offer you loans at an interest rate that reflects your credit worthiness. In a way, this site is like an ebay for money.

Beware of the FRAUD answers you have here from Nora Casey and the Brit, Mr Hurley, they are typical Spammers from South Africa that try to send you a chek to give them 80% of it back via Western union and leave you holding the bag at the bank when the check comes back as FAKE. you are responsible for all that money, the banks loss becomes your loss of money and you could easliy go to prison for frauding the bank by depositing money from these frauds and then sending it back to them wesstern union. DONT DO IT!
