I sleep on my roof terrace on a straw mat. Space enough for the whole army :-)

My husband and I have a Queen-sized bed. This size fits us just right, it's not too big for us (not big enough that touching and rubbing on each other is inevitable), and it's not too small (we're still comfortable with the space between and around us). When we chose the bed, we also considered the size of our room and how much it would cost us. All other things taken into account, a good bed should best serve it's purpose... a good place for a restful sleep and a comfortable place to do our private matters.

I took a King sized sheet and put it on a twin bed, all I did was put the fitted part to the back of the bed and then pulled it tight and tucked the excess sheet under the matress. The top sheet for the twin, I just folded it in half and put it on. I wouldn't cut it, cause you may move and need a King-size sheet again and then you would have to buy the expensive sheets, again, and this way you could use it on the king or queen sized bed.

Full size but then again I sleep on the sofa. After I got divorced in 1990, I had a hard time sleeping alone and now I am very used to it. For some reason , the sofa is more comforting. I think the back of the sofa makes me feel more secure, I also have my TV, DVD player, computer and music in my living room. I live in an apartment and don't want to run the AC in both rooms. The AC in the bedroom is an older one and not energy efficient. This is another reason why I don't sleep in my bed. I know of others who live alone and sleep on the sofa too.

I use the bedroom for company.

Queen...the largest at the time I bought it, that would fit well in the bedroom I had. I'd love to have a king, but they just take up a lot of space.
