Enable hot-swapping for SATA for Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe?

i have 2 ext. HDD that have eSATA and was wondering how to enable the hot-swapping for it so that I can disconnect and re-connect when needed?

M2N-SLI Deluxe

XP: Bios ver. 0801

Vista: ver. 13??

OS: XP & Vista (2 different systems & want to enable it on both)

both external hard drives have external power (power from outlet)

what i mean is... having to connect/turn on devices while PC is on and not have to have the drives on Before I turn on the PC. (did that make any sense?)

does it not work like USB where you can reconnect while PC is powered on and reads data like normal?

seems like External SATA devices have to be on before the PC is on to be able to read the devices...

hmm I dunno I've plugged in my internal SATA drives before while the computer was running before but I have never tried unplugging them the same way... there was some way that all my drives showed up as removable drives for a little bit but then the option disappeared... so honestly I'm not sure, you can uninstall the drive every time but I would guess that would be quite annoying...

what I really was gonna say is that am I the only one who gets super turned on when a girl says "Enable hot-swapping for SATA"???
