Can you describe the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen?

...I was in the Midwest...Kansas to be exact...I was alone one evening while walking down a dusty gravel road towards my house...I stopped in my tracks and became mesmerized by the sunset...Kansas is called "Big Sky Country" because of the open plains so when anything happens in those skies, it's always in a big way...the sunset was drinking what was left of a hot day to quench it's thirst before nightfall as it was relaxing over the hillside...the aura was a prism spectrum with blended edges of streaking color...I don't think I took a breath for many minutes...this was 25 yrs ago (this summer) and I still have it etched into my memory...

I just can't describe the sunset as seen from Cape Sounion or Santorini Island.....

This is Greece.

I cant remember the time of year,but I ws walking along the beach in El Segundo California and it looked like someone had poured a mixture of orange and red over the sky. As the sun went lower, the sky became almost like a muted brown. I sat down on the beach and watched while the lights came on the ships that were docked Boy,did I wish I had a canvas and paints and talent.Really,I was glad I had my sight.

Giddying perspective with the depth to bring on a sense of vertigo. Fine lines of electric color layered with the softest hue.

Too much beauty to take in, impossible to adequately describe in words, photography or painting.

Out of this world...

Surrealistic...

Humbling...

July 8th, I believe it was. 2007.

One of the days in my life where I thought like a total and complete sociopath, psychopath, and horribly broken person.

But the sunset was amazing.

out on the road after a long trip you can see the most beautiful sunsets.

I was on the Big Island in Hawaii with my husband and we saw the must amazing colors at sunset.

It was like a picture on a postcard.....it made me teary-eyed.

the sky was a hot pink fading into a hot peach colour. beautiful :)
