How Do You Build A Simple Pendulum?
Like a minature one. HELP. It doesn't need to like do anything special, it just needs to work. But it has to be a pendulum like the one in the story "The Pit and the Pendulum" by Edgar Allan Poe. It's for a math class that I want to get credit fer freshman year this summer sooo yah.
Please help!

What kind of parameters are you working with? Is it supposed to work mechanically or do you just swing it back and forth manually? Should it have a blade at the bottom?
And do you have to build one or just find one? What keeps popping into my hand is a pendulum from a clock or a metronome held upside down.

Incidentally, I'm a little curious, it has to be a pendulum like one from a great work of literature but it's for a math class? What's your' math professor's angle? How does s/he relate the pendulum to math?
