Poll: Who believes that Egypt & the UAE are deserts?

UAE - United Arab Emirates...Maybe you havent heard of it.

Dubai is a city (emirate) in the UAE.

Do people still think that Egyptians travel on camels and live in tents?

Update:

Oh so very wrong!

Thats why we call the old days ANCIENT EGYPT. These days we're just like any city, just over polluted. Dont believe what you see on TV, they just show you the pharoahs, tombs and pyramids.

Here, this is where my university is:

(American University in Cairo)

And if Dubai's like that then the rest of the emirates are the same. Dubai's just developing too fast and spending their money on a 1000 towers per year.

Hope i changed your view of the middle east, somehow :)

Dubai is the fastest growing city of the world, and one of the most classy! Their luxurious hotels are *so* amazing, I would put them very high on my list of places to see. Dubai also has the benefit of being an area free of the violent turmoil that neighboring countries are engulfed in, which makes the whole area an oasis in more ways than one.

The majority of people don't have such an archaic view of the Middle East, some just have trouble distinguishing fantasy/hollywood/foxnews from reality.

    not me

i know dubai is a city,my friend lives there part of the year and cairo is a city, maybe their proximity to deserts leads to the misinterpretation that they are deserts
