Has anyone ever heard of a "Brain Balance" program?
Has anyone ever heard of a "Brain Balance" program? or any programs by Chiropractic Neurologists for kids with PDD, ADD, Autism other related disorders? We have recently been considering enrolling our almost 3 yr. old in a program at brain balance centers. http://brainbalancecenters.com/ in GA. We are skeptical but the program sounds good. they focus treatment on hemispheres of the brain; the idea is if one side is delayed they do things to get that side caught up and of course they claim wonderful results. If anyone has any information on this please post replies. thank you
I did copy and repost it was what i was asking, so I run with it Hopeing to see if I get any down side to the program before I soend 20k on it.

What's up? Did you just copy&paste this message.... http://www.autismspeaks.org/community/forums/showt... .......... or what?????
Besides that message it looks like any mention of it leads only to THEIR website. That aside; the program sounds good, they're not trying to drug the kids & that's positive. If you can afford it & think it's worth whatever they charge, then go for it.

I never heard of it. I hear good things about chiropractors. On the autism forums, no one has anything good to say about neurologists. There are over a thousand Yahoo Groups on autism. Normally, people are a member of a few, and ask questions like this on them. Usually there is feedback on a certain doctor or clinic. I personally recovered my children only by ridding pathogens and toxins, thus I have no personal experience with other techniques. Since it only took a year to rid their symptoms enough to do regular school with no modifications, I just never needed to do other things, but I am not against other techniques. I do however feel autism is caused by toxins and pathogens and not treating for such concerns me. Thus, my personal opinion is that other fancy techniques can be used with ridding pathogens and toxins, but should not be used instead.
