my LCD tv has hues of pink on it - can this be fixed?
It is a samsung LCD TV Monitor 940 syncmaster
I am using it as a TV, I always have done, recently, when I turn it on, after a few seconds, the screen has a pink hue to it, also orange/reds,
It does not make any difference fiddling with the colour settings on the tv
Is this fixable problem? What is causing it? And, is it a sign that my tv is going up the creek?

Yes, it is repairable. A video signal problem is occurring. Depending on how it was built, it may be a worthy repair and not too expensive. If it's in manufacturer warranty, call Samsung customer care.
