Reunion tower is closed for renovations. Downtown is the best place to be in dallas. Go visit the house of blues, great food and music. If you want to bar hop, go to Lower Greenville.(just outside downtown). Also visit the city's website for tourism spots....like the 6th floor museum where JFK was assasinated... just google city of dallas. There is a great aquarium downtown. There is a great club in the W hotel called the Ghostbar. Its really posh. Google Victory Park, Dallas for more things to do in that area.

Also, dont limit yourself to just dallas. Fort Worth's downtown is WAAAAY better than Dallas'. Especially at night. More restaurants, clubs, people, lights, horse-drawn carriages, music, fun. I've lived in dallas all my life so I dont hold any affinity to Ft Worth. I just love going there!

    Have a fun trip!

So much more (btw - it's reunion tower at the Hyatt, but I think it's closed).

6th floor museum at the book depository (where lee harvey shot kennedy from).

The Myerson - the Dallas Symphony is really very good and the facility is one of the best in the world (doesn't really matter what they are playing).

Bass Hall in Ft Worth - never been there myself though.

Rent a boat and sail on or kayak on white rock lake.

the Dallas Museum of Art or the Sculpture Garden.

If you like Asian art, the Trammel Crow building has a very large offering.

Lot's of local theatre from the campy (pocket sandwich theatre) to the exceptional (kitchen dog - edgy, or Dallas Theatre Center - professional).

go to dallasobserver.com to get an idea.

For a real texas dive bar and great burgers, try Adairs on Commerce in Deep Ellum.

good luck and have fun in our fair burg.

Well there are many things downtown Dallas, but you also have the stock yards in Ft.Worth where there are cowboys on horses and the have a bunch of stores to shop at, down side is today it's like 103 in the shade :)

anywhere downtown. you should eat at the restaurant up in the reunion tower. (flashing microphone looking building) the big ball at the top slowly spins and thats where you eat. it is the absolute BEST view of the city you can get. but i forgot what it was called. its by the hyatt hotel.
