Reversing direction of an electric starter motor?
after reassembling a starter motor for a lawn tractor the motor is running in reverse. There are two grounded brushes and two hot brushes. They are alternated right now...hot, ground, hot, ground. How do they need to be setup for reversing the direction?

a dc starter motor is easy since all you have to do is reverse the battery connections.so in the motor just reverse those 2 wires. see????

Basically, to reverse the direction, you need to reverse the polarity of the current, which means, you needs to have the positive and ground switched. but that is not your answer, your answer is to disassemble it and assemble it correctly.
